I have to give props to the new book I just read, that is not really new. Blue Like Jazz, written by Donald Miller, is subtitled 'nonreligious thoughts on Christian spirtuality'. Blaine is reading it right now. New Zealand is a pretty liberal place and the book speaks to relating to people that are very different than you. Melissa and Shelley talked about it at the beach, and then it was on a reading list for one of our church classes and Mrs. Totty gave it to me as a "going away" gift. Anyways, I would highly suggest this book for the reason that it is a fresh perspective written by a guy who I think has A.D.D. and whose writing style is mainly flight of ideas.

Well, we leave tomorrow morning to go on our weekend getaway for our 2nd anniversary. We are going to Hanmer Springs, a thermal pool resort north of Christchurch. We will have a report when we return!

Sounds like a fun anniversary weekend!!
Hanmer Springs looks so scenic and relaxing!! Y'all need to try out that glow-in-the-dark water slide. I looked at the photos online. :)

you mentioned that y'all had been hanging out with some friends from church- did you have a hard time finding a church home since it's so liberal? have y'all decided on one or are you still visiting around?

HAVE a fun weekend!! maybe the dawgs will redeem themselves this weekend - what a great anniverary present THAT would be! :)

I'm so glad you read the book, Kate; I'm interested on BT111's take on it also. BT has finished another one-
Revolutional Christianity- that Jerry passsed on to us. I'm planning on reading also-will let you know about it. We went to the farm this weekend to see Kathryn before she leaves for a semester's study in art in Belgium. She's as excited as you were about Wales, BT. Happy anniversary, you two; we would take you to Shappley's or Nick's if you were here to celebrate-Maybe we'll go anyway and have warm thoughts about you while we're eating! Love you bunches and bunches.

Hey dear Kate! Hope all is going well. I loved this book also. Katie F. just finished it too and started on the book he wrote right after it which the lady at Books A Million said was even better :) I've been prayin for ya'll lately.

Went to the state game this weekend. HUGE dissapointment. At least ya'll are there for an aweful season. You're missing nothing but frustration.

Hope to hear from you soon!
